2nd NTPC National Ranking Archery Tournament concludes at SAI, NEHU Campus, Shillong. Selection criteria laid down by Archery Association of India towards participating in
National Ranking Tournament (NRT) mentions that Archers who have met the Minimum Qualification Score as under in the last 12 months preceding the NRT in any World Archery/World Archery Asia Tournament abroad or any Championship/Tournament in India conducted/officiated by AAI for Sr/Jr and Cadet such as International Meet/Indian Team Trials/National Championship/Khelo India/Inter University etc. are eligible to take part. 2nd NRT selection criteria was top 16 from the 1st NRT + archers based on minimum qualification Score. 391 such participants from 20+ States took part in this recently concluded tournament held between 19th and 28th March with 78 Sub Junior, 115 Junior and 198 Senior participants respectively. Categories included Senior Men, Women Recurve and Compound, Junior Men and Women Recurve and Compound and also Sub Junior Boy’s and Girl’s Recurve. Senior Recurve for Men’s top three rankings went to Tushar Shelkhe, Atanu Das and Bommadevara Dhiraj. In the Senior Women’s Recurve, following were the top three ranks- Ridhi, Promila Daimary and Simranjeet Kaur . Senior Compound Men saw Simranjot Singh, Abhishek Verma and Priyansh occupying the top three ranks. Also, Senior Women’s Compound had Raginee Marko, Srishti Singh and Muskan Kirar as top three rank holders. Tournament concluded with the Medal Award Ceremony. John F Kharshiing (Meghalaya State Olympic Association). Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla (Vice Chancellor NEHU) and Brigadier Robi Kapoor (Gorkha Training Centre) graced the occasion as guests.
