NSE and India Habitat Centre Partner to Empower Citizens with Financial Literacy

The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) and the India Habitat Centre (IHC) have joined forces to launch a series of financial literacy and investor awareness programs. This strategic partnership aims to equip citizens with essential financial knowledge and skills, enabling them to make informed decisions in the capital markets.

The collaboration between NSE and IHC reflects the shared vision of both organizations to promote financial literacy and investor awareness. The programs will cover critical topics such as financial planning, basics of capital markets, mutual funds, investor rights and responsibilities, and fraud prevention.

The financial literacy programs will target IHC employees, visitors, and broader community groups, ensuring a diverse reach and impact. The sessions will be conducted in multiple formats, including seminars, workshops, and webinars, making them accessible to a larger audience.

Dr. K.G. Suresh, Director, India Habitat Centre, said, “Partnering with NSE aligns with our mission to create spaces for meaningful dialogue, learning, and societal progress.” Shri. Ankit Sharma, Chief Regulatory Officer, NSE, emphasized, “Financial literacy and investor awareness is the first step towards building an empowered investor community.”

NSE’s Investor Awareness Programs (IAPs) have already reached over 8 lakh participants across all states and Union Territories in FY25. The partnership with IHC aims to deepen the reach among urban professionals and communities associated with IHC, creating a multiplier effect for responsible investing in India’s growing economy.

By joining forces, NSE and IHC are poised to make a significant impact in promoting financial literacy and investor awareness, empowering citizens to make informed decisions in the capital markets.
