Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) Holds 32nd Annual General Meeting

Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) conducted its 32nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the NRL Centre in Guwahati on September 16, 2025, under the chairmanship of Dr. Ranjit Rath. The meeting was attended by shareholders, directors, senior management, media representatives, and journalists.

The Prime Minister inaugurated the world’s first bamboo-based 2-G Bio Ethanol Plant in Numaligarh on September 14 in the presence of senior officials. This project aligns with India’s “Make in India” efforts and promotes bio-energy transition using local resources.
– *Polypropylene Plant*: The Hon’ble Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for a 360 KTA polypropylene plant at Numaligarh, costing over ₹7,000 crore. This will raise NRL’s Petrochemical Intensity Index by 4 when implemented alongside the refinery expansion.
– *Financial Performance (FY 2024-25)*:
– Net worth reached ₹16,069 crore, a 25% increase from the previous year.
– Revenue from operations grew to ₹25,147 crore from ₹23,731 crore.
– Profit Before Tax (PBT) was ₹2,215 crore, and Profit After Tax (PAT) was ₹1,608 crore.
– Refinery achieved over 100% capacity utilization, processing 3,066 TMT of crude oil.
– Highest-ever domestic crude oil receipt of 3,033 TMT from OIL and ONGC.

Dr. Rath highlighted NRL’s robust performance and growth trajectory during the AGM. The company continues to contribute to India’s energy security and bio-energy transition goals.
