In order to ensure proper implementation of government schemes in all the three tiers of Panchyati Raj System, District Planning Committee meeting was held in DC office Nalbari today.
Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah along with his cabinet colleague Ranjit Kumar Das attended the meeting and took stock of various schemes and progress of their implementation. The DPC meeting conducted a detailed discussion on 1st instalment of tied and untied funds under 15th Finance Commision. Approval of the schemes under ZPC, AP & GP for the second instalment of FY 2020-21 and first and second instalment of FY 2021-22 under 15th finance commision was also discussed in detail in the meeting. While assessing the progress of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna(Gramin), Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah asked the concerned BDO’s to check the progress of houses built under this scheme and also ensure proper utilization of funds by beneficiaries. In context of employment generation a brief discussion was also held regarding proper implementation of MNREGA scheme for creating jobs for the rural poor. The Minister also stressed on the importance of promoting rural livelihood through SHGs to to promote economic independence.
MP Queen Ojha, MP Dilip Saikia, MLA Diganta Barman, members of ZP,AP and GP and officials of other concerned line departments were also present in the meeting.
