Minister Krishnendu Paul Chairs Review Meeting to Assess Progress of Government Schemes in Darrang
Minister for Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, Fisheries and Public Works Department (Roads), Krishnendu Paul, chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the conference hall of the District Commissioner’s office in Darrang district on Monday to assess the progress of key government schemes and ongoing projects under his departments.
The meeting focused on reviewing implementation status, identifying bottlenecks and formulating strategies for the effective execution of flagship programmes to ensure timely delivery of benefits to the intended beneficiaries. Emphasis was laid on strengthening inter departmental coordination and adopting result oriented approaches for efficient implementation. The progress of the Brood Bank at Gerimari was also reviewed during the meeting.
As part of the district visit, the Minister inspected the Integrated Aqua Park at Garukhuti and reviewed the functioning of the Garukhuti Bahumukhi Krishi Prakalpa.
The review meeting was attended by local MLAs Basanta Das and Paramananda Rajbongshi, DC Parag Kumar Kakaty, Social Worker Mukunda Deka, along with other senior officers, departmental officials and staff from the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, Fisheries and PWD (Roads) departments.
The Minister emphasized that timely completion and effective implementation of schemes are vital for strengthening infrastructure and improving livelihoods in Darrang district.
