Today received the best quasi Govt organisation among NE n Hilly state award by FISHFED,Assam at a central celebration of World Fisheries Day,GOI at Daman.Award distributed by Mr J.N.Swin IAS,Secy, Fisheries n A.H,GOI as chief guest.Others guest of honour are Mr Sagar Mehera,Joint Secretary,GOI; Mrs C.Suvarna IFS,Chief Executive,National Fisheries Development Board;Mr Saurav MisraIAS,Secy,Fisheries,Govt of Dadar n Nagar Haveli.Delegates,sr officers, scientists,researches through out the country attended the programme.Fishfed baged the best award for 2nd time as it was in 2020 in New Delhi.
Chumi Bordoloi (an empanelled memberof FISHFED) received the best woman entrepreneur award,Debajit Barman,Progesive fish farmer of Nalbari baged the best fish farmer award among NE n Hilly state;Udalguri awarded best district among NE n Hilly states and Sonbeel Matshyajibi Cooperative Society (FISHFED empanelled cooperative society),Karimganj baged the best Cooperative award.
