Charaideo DC interacts with meritorious students under Arohan scheme

Under the ambitious scheme of the State Government “Arohan”, the District Commissioner of Charaideo Nibedan Das Patoway on Thursday held an interactive session with meritorious students of the district.

It may be noted that under the “Arohan” scheme, the State Government has initiated a visionary process so that each selected meritorious student gets the opportunity to be helped and guided by one qualified Mentor for the achieving excellent educational, intellectual and mental growth.

Under the scheme, the Charaideo district administration on Thursday organised an interactive session of the selected students with the District Commissioner at Sonari Public Auditorium wherein the District Commissioner Das Patowary gave them a thoughtful and interestingly detailed insight on achieving life goals and career upliftment. He envisaged that “Arohan” scheme would boost the students’ morale and academic excellence. The DC said, “The ambitious and farsighted scheme of the State Government “Arohan” would definitely be helpful for the attaining highest levels of intellectual and academic accomplishment”. He further added that voluntarily engaged accomplished Mentors working under various departments in the district are guiding the 62 Mentee students of the district. The DC called on the students to inculcate in them patience and perseverance, deep focus, alertness, abstinence from negative energies, sheer dedication and hard work to scale the highest level of success. However, at the same time he reiterated that the society should garner benefit from success of the students, as the society plays a key role in making them successful. Later the DC held a detailed interactive session with the mentee students and offered them valuable suggestions drawing inferences from his personal dedication, zeal and achievements.

Additional District Commissioner (Education) Mirzana Hussain offered the welcome speech in the programme.

Inspector of Schools Debajyoti Gogoi and Vice- Principal of Sonari College Dr. Sunil Dutta also deliberated at length in the programme compered by the District Co-ordinator of Poshan Abhiyan Dipen Baruah.

Additional District Commissioner Abhijit Gogoi, former Principal of Sonari College Robin Konwar, officers and staff of the district administration and other departments, mentors and mentees, guardians besides others also attended the programme.

Notably, virtually through Google Meet, one of the mentors and a noted entrepreneur Amlanjyoti Kalita also had an insightful interactive session with the mentees.

As part of the programme, a Quiz competition was also held amongst the students, which was conducted by noted Quiz Master Nabajyoti Bharali.
