During Covid-19 few brave Assamese Boys and girls sailed off-shore in search of destiny, braving heavy odds like lack of appointments
for Visa, lack of flights, and uncertainty of every aspects in foreign land. In the most unprecedented times in the history of mankind, the youth were clueless as to how to deal with this situation when the world went through spells of complete lockdowns. Nonetheless the brave-hearts embraced challenges with the right spirit and
converted to opportunities.
Dewang Rajkakati is one of them. He left India during the height of the Corona Pandemic in December, 2020 after completing B Tech.from SRM University in Computer Science and Engineering. He studied MS in Computer Science and Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo, USA.He completed MS in record time in May, 2022 and immediately. Joined Amazon at Seattle in Alexa Artificial Intelligence (Al) Group with a total CTC to Amazon of about $280000/- per annum (or Rs. 2.24 Cr).
Dewang Rajkakati is son of former Managing Director NERAMAC and Director of Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, and DGM, North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd (NEDFI); Manoj K Das and Dr. Ajanta Baruah Das, residents of Dwarka, New Delhi. His sister Priyanka Das Rajkakati is an Astronautical Engineer based in Toulouse, France.The family originally hails from Dhemaji in the State of Assam, Eastern India.
Earlier Dewang studied in The Mother’s International School, New Delhi and for a brief one year in Faculty High School, Guwahati.Rajkakati believes that the hard work done with the insistence of getting success never goes in vain.
