The Assamese Department of Ujani Majuli Kherkatia College was organized a special lecture program entitled “Bisangam Dristit Sudhakanth Dr. Bhupen Hazarika by the Sahitya Chora in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell at the college auditorium on Thursday.
The lecture Program was moderated by Professor Dimbajyoti Boruah at 11 am and presided over by Head of Assamese Department, Professor Dr. Beauti Gogoi. At that program the Principal Dr. Jahnabee Lahakar Boruah lighted the lantern and delivered the welcome speech.
Notably, Dr. Sankar Patowary, Associate Professor, Department of English, Dhemaji Commerce College was present as a resource person and delivered a lecture on the life ideals of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika and his contribution to Assamese literature and society.
The event was attended by Dr. Prafulla Nath, Dr. Pankaj Saikia, Rinkumani Chutia and Mallika Maran, Professors of Assamese Department of Jengraimukh College and about a hundred students. The event was graced by the Sangeet performances of Lakshirupa Khanikar and Puravi Borah.
