Minister of Health and Family Welfare Shri Keshab Mahanta visits Assam Medical College Hospital and takes a stock of the health services of Dibrugarh.
Minister Keshab Mahanta visited Assam Medical College Hospital and inspected the Super Speciality Hospital and discussed with the authorities about the facilities available there and also had a thorough discussion on the celebration of the Platinum Jubliee of Assam Medical College Hospital and what type of assistance the Govt.can forward for its grand celebration.After inspection, Minister hold a meeting with all the health officials of Dibrugarh district at the conference hall of the DC , office, Dibrugarh.The meeting was presided by the Honourable Minister himself and Deputy Secretary to the Govt of Assam,Smti.Pomi Baruah,DC, Dibrugarh,Shri Biswajit Pegu,ADC,Shri Biswajit Phukan,Joint Director to the Health Services, Dr.Rajib Baruah, Additional DME Dr.Manoj Kumar Choudhury,SDM &HO of all the blocks of Dibrugarh, Vertical Programme Unit, Block Management Unit,and other health officials and representatives were also present in the meeting.Informations regarding various health services, successful health services,schemes,status of vertical diseases,status of Covid-19 were showcased through power point presentation.In Dibrugarh,there are about 234 SCs,6 Block PHCs,9-24×7 PHCs,5 CHCs,5 Model Hospitals,21 MMUs,37 PPP Tea Garden,31 -108- Ambulance Services,3 – Sanjeevani -104 services,one blood bank and one District Drug warehouse.The Health Minister confirmed whether any new scheme can be used in the 9-24×7 PHCs and asked the lists of those hospitals where adequate number of facilities like men -power are available so that Govt can install new schemes for the development of the infrastructure for the upliftment of those hospitals.It is for information that Routine immunization Performance for the year 2022-2023 is 87% from Dibrugarh, Vaccination of Covid-19 for the whole district for 1st dose is 101.7%2nd dose is 92.2% and 3rd dose is 14.4% and there are 35 nos.of active COVID cases who are all under home isolation and the death rate after 3rd wave is 0.11%.A total about 1716 no.of beneficiaries were eligible for Nikshay Poshan Yojana and about 32791beneficiaries were benefitted with Atal Amrit Abhiyan and about 18112 beneficiaries were benefitted from Pradhan Mantri Jana Arogya Yojana.The key highlights in the district that were discussed in the meeting was that the district is selected for Malaria Elimination Certificate and JE cases are also declining.Other important discussions that were held were like the observation of Yoga Day,World No Tobacco Day,Drug Abuse Day etc. and awareness camps were also set up inorder to aware the people from the health hazards of Tobacco and drugs.The meeting ended with a vote of thanks from the chair.
