Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah held departmental review meeting of PHED at Darrang-Visited multiple water supply scheme sites under JJM

Jayanta Mallabaruah, Minister PHED, SEED and Tourism Department held a meeting with district officials of PHED at Deputy Commissioners Office Darrang today.
In the meeting, the minister discussed various ongoing issues like DPR status, Adminstrative Approvals, Technical Sanctios etc for implementation of JJM schemes in the district. He took stock of the status of the water supply schemes in all the constituencies of the district. He asked the departmental engineers to ensure the quality of work alongside speeding up completion of already alloted works. The minister also asked the officials to impose LP on contractors who has failed to complete their work in their stipulated time. The minister said that SHGs ,Vounteery Organisations and Students will take up survey of the FHTCs of the completed schemes soon to ensure its proper functionality. The Minister also visited Mangaldai Youth Club where a District Level training of trainers for engaging CLF/VOs as Implementation Support Agencies was going on. Addressing the trainees the minister said that the success of JJM will depend on how diligently these ISA’s execute their duty on ground.
Minister Mallabaruah also visited multiple water supply schemes at different parts of the district to inspect if water supply schemes are working as per expectation.
MLAs Basanta Das, Durga Das Boro, Mazibur Rahman, Chairman AFDC Gurujyoti Das, DC Darrang Pranab Kumar Sarma were also present in the review meeting.
