The monthly meeting of the District Development Committee (DDC), Kamrup, was held on Wednesday at the Conference Hall of the Co-District Commissioner’s Office, Rangia, under the chairmanship of District Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra in the presence of Rangia MLA Bhabesh Kalita.
The meeting reviewed the progress of various developmental schemes being implemented across the district, with emphasis on timely execution and inter-departmental coordination.
During the meeting, departments including Panchayat & Rural Development (P&RD), Public Works Department (Roads & Buildings), Education, Health & Family Welfare, Social Welfare, PHED, Animal Husbandry, Fishery, Urban Development, and Water Resources presented detailed reports on the status of ongoing schemes and projects.
Addressing the officials, the District Commissioner urged all departments to adopt a proactive approach to ensure the timely completion of projects and effective implementation of government schemes. He also directed the concerned officials to remain prepared for any seasonal or disaster-related situations and to ensure prompt response mechanisms across the district.
Among those present were Chief Executive Officer of Kamrup Zila Parishad Siddhartha Goswami, District Development Commissioner Susanta Kumar Dutta, Additional District Commissioner Biswajit Saikia, Co-District Commissioners Mridusmita Borah and Bhaskar Jyoti Kalita, along with the heads of departments from various sectors.
