Pobitora Amchang Eco festival celebration

An important conservation initiative called “Pobitora-Amchang Eco Festival and Khambrenga Somaroh” was held on 20th March at Khambrenga Beel near Chandrapur. The festival was organised by North East Watch, a social organisation. Several distinguished experts spoke on the need to protect and conserve the Pobitora-Amchang-Khambrenga region which has been described as the Lungs of Guwahati by NE Watch. A mesmerising cultural show enthralled the packed audience. Prof. B.C. Goswami, VC- CU, Prof. N.C. Talukdar, VC-ADTU, Prof. M.C. Kalita, President, Assam Science Society and other eminent personalities took part in the discussion.
