NRL and oil organised the first start-up Investors’ summit 2022 today at Guwahati, the objective of the meet was to attract investors for start-ups from the North East supported by NRL’s start-up initiative, iDEATION and Oil’s start-up programs SNEH. The summit was inaugurated by joint secretary(Refinaries & Exploration ) ministry of petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) shri sunil kumar who presided over as chief guest of the inaugural function which was also graced by MD NRL, shri Bhaskar Jyoti phukan, Director( Finance) NRL Indrani Mittra , Director ( operation), OIL, Pankaj Kumar Goswami CMD NEDFi ,P .V .S.L.N Murty and many senior executive from oil and Gas PSUs, Govt. Official s venture capitalists incubators Accelerators, angle investors, start-ups, entrepreneurs, industrialists and professionals.
The summit Commenced with falicitation of and addressing of the Agusta gathering by the invited dignitaries followed by the launch of NRL iDEATION angle fund with a Corpus of Rs.35 crore for equality investment in start-ups. thereafter , the event also saw top 25 start-ups from north east and other parts of the country participating in a start-ups elevator pitch session, leading to an engaging panel discussion by the esteemed panellists . Few of the angle investors from silicon valley.notably shymantak Gautam,Ruban phukan, and Amitav Chakraborty .who also happen to be successful entrepreneurs themselves also participated and shared their experience of the start-ups ecosystem in the bay Area with the enthralled audience.the highlight of the event was the keynote speech delivered by sankar Boro,co – founder of Dealshare and ex co-founder of Myntra ,and the presence of eminent corporate stalwarts shri Ronju k Mohan ,Girish Naik and Rahul Further renowned VC Firms from Mumbai- Lead angles 100x.vc and unicom india ventures and ankur capital from Bangalore rendered the event impactful.
The meet was organised in a hybrid mode with director (R&D) IOCL,Dr S .S .V Ramakumar addressing the gathering in the online mode. Followed by a warm networking session. Note on iDEATION in line with the action plan of startup india. Govt of India’s flagship programme Numaligarh Refinery limited in 2017 . launched an initiative called NRL iDEATION with a Corpus of Rs 10 crores and a mission to provide a robust platform for the startup ecosystem in the NE region by providing incubation mentoring & grant funding to worthy ideas in 2022. NRL has launched NRL iDEATION angle fund for equality investments in startups.the aim of NRL’S startup programs is to emerge as a key player in the financial& knowledge support system to startups in Northeast india.
