Co-Vice Chairman Dhruba Prasad Baishya inaugurates Civil Service centre( a project of SITA) at Darrang College, Tezpur
Tezpur, June 10: State Innovation and Transformation Aayog (SITA) Co-Vice Chairman Sri Dhruba Prasad Baishya inaugurated Darrang College Civil Services Study Centre at Tezpur, Sonitpur District which is a funded project of SITA at a function held today at Darrang College, Tezpur. Co-Vice Chairman also handed over the first installment to carry out the funded project to the Principal of Darrang College, Tezpur.
Addressing the gathering, Co-Vice Chairman Dhruba Prasad Baishya elaborately spoke on the various projects of SITA and the present project to benefit the students aspiring for Civil services. With the setting of this centre, he hoped the students would take initiative to grab the opportunity in joining the training centre which will helped them in their preparation to achieve success in civil service examinations. He also said that under the guidance of Hon’ble Chairman, SITA and Chief Minister, Assam many innovative projects have been undertaken and this is also one of them. It needs to be mentioned that the project of SITA will be carried out on pilot basis where four colleges of Assam have been selected. The project will include the provision of developing the required infrastructure and other facilities.
The meeting was also addressed by Dr. Palashmoni Saikia, Principal Darrang College, Dr. Khargeswar Barkakaty, President of College Governing Body, Dr. Jyotikamal Hazarika, Principal of Tezpur College and Smt. Dibyangana Mahar, Asst. Commissioner.Today’s programme was attended by Sri Biraj Nath, President of Tezpur Munucipality Corporation, Sri D.S Hazari, ARO,SITA, Sri L. Joute, PRO SITA, students and faculty members of Darrang College and many faculties & students of other colleges of Tezpur.
